“Lockwood & Co., this is Quill speaking. How may I assist you?”

“Kipps.” It was Barnes’ voice, soft and gruff. Quill’s heart sank to the pit of his stomach. This was it, the call he’d been anticipating for months. Lockwood’s apparent death wish had finally come to collect; of course Quill would have to be the one to break the news to the others. Damn Barnes and his poor timing.

“Sir,” Quill said, barely keeping the tremble from his words. “Is it-?”

“She’s alive.”

What?

“What?” Quill asked. “Who?”

Barnes let out a huff of a laugh, closer to hysterical than mirthless. “Lucy,” he said. “She’s alive. She survived.”

“Are you sure?”

Charlie’s breath was hot on Teddy’s ear, his hands, calloused and scarred from years of hard labour – more years than Teddy had been alive – gripped Teddy’s hips.

Teddy gave a groan and rolled his eyes. “Please, I’ve only been flirting with you for six months, just get a fucking move on.”

“But I’m old enough to-“

Teddy spun around, leaning back against the tree that he had been pressed against, grabbing Charlie by the front of his t-shirt and pulling him in for a kiss. He tasted of smoke, and coffee, and the scent of hay still clung to his skin from where they had mucked out the Ukrainian Ironbelly enclosure that morning.

“I don’t give a single fuck,” Teddy whispered into the humid air between them, the heat of the Romanian summer beginning to show its face, even here in the shade of the forest. “I want you to fuck me. Unless,” a sudden chill – felt not by his skin, but his heart. “Unless you don’t want…”

“Want you?” Charlie’s voice cracked. “Merlin and Morgana, Ted, I’ve wanted to fuck you for months, but I didn’t want to make you feel uncomfortable, or-“ he stopped as Teddy, unable to stop himself, ran a hand down the tented front of Charlie’s jeans.

“Just like this,” Teddy gasped as Charlie pressed him back into the tree. “Quick and rough… it doesn’t have to make work weird…”

“Oh, it will.

” Charlie growled into Teddy’s throat as he tipped his head back to gasp, magic tingled through him, making him feel wet and oh so empty. “Because once I get a taste of that arse, I don’t think I am ever going to be able to look at you the same way.”

Teddy’s jeans were tugged from his hips, and his pants vanished. Thick fingers pressed into him, spreading him open, burning just on the edge of where the spell had stretched him.

“What a shame.”

Charlie chuckled low and dangerous. “Little slut.”

er... cry? then it depends on how big the plothole is and how far through writing i am. if im near the beginning then i will probably be fine, do a little tinkering with my outline and hopefully it wont take more than a few changes in what ive written already. but if ive almost finished or have a full draft then i usually have to talk it through with a friend or just yell it into a discord server if its not for an anon fest or smth until i get in clear in my head what the plan of least rewriting is

damn these questions are good... i think a weird combo of all of them? like the idea for my current wip was a loose location and an even looser plot but then when it came to prepping i just kinda dodge around between different things or squirrel brain gets bored.

like i will start with a vague idea of plot but just enough to know some of the things i need from the world but then i will start worldbuilding and then that influences the plot and the characters are just who i need my idiots to be for that world and to experience that plot but then i also want my characters to feel specific things and go through specific changes so i write places and things in order tomake those things happen.
