Loving it here at the University of West London and love living in London even more and Freshers week hasn't even ended yet. Luckily I have decent flatmates who are a great laugh, even though they do like the party scene they totally include me in their chats and we have a right laugh when we stay in and I'm in a flat with someone studying the same subject as me so even better :) And I met some more peoples at the football kick about and went out for their predrinks and we had a right laugh too. Everyone's so nice and I wonder why I was worried. I've met some really lovely people on my course too. Sadly some are really not talkative but many are which is great especially for group work. Studying Airline and Airport management, being in West London is perfect. We are literally three or four stops away from Heathrow Terminals 1,2,3,4 and 5 on the tube's Piccadilly line. We get aircraft come over constantly during the day. The University of West London is an odd one because it has three sites. Small one at Reading, one in Brentford and one in Ealing. My course takes place in the Ealing campus but we all live here in Brenford where the student housing is located. It may be one of the most expensive if not THE most expensive in London but it's worth the money because it' so well maintained and there's so much here. We can get to Ealing Broadway for free on the shuttle bus too so lots of shopping is always fun. And we're only a tube ride away from central London! Sadly traveling around can be expensive so looks like I'll be getting a student Oyster card asap. Our course tutors are great, or at the least the one's we've met in our inductions. They're not just experienced and good at their job but they're funny and add humour to their lectures which is a bonus. It's far more exciting and fun to have a laugh even in lectures. Being so close to Ealing's centre the Uni campus at Ealing is down the road from Ealing studios where Downton Abbey's Downstairs scenes are filimed. (Being a huge fan makes it a fan girl moment every time I walk past it), we walk past it to from St Mary's Road to Ealing Broadway :) A short 10 minute or so walk. Ealing is a nice place to live I feel. There's not real rough areas I've found so far. It's quite posh in some areas actually. Our locations in Brentford is less fun because we're not as close to anything in Brentford other than the Brentford football ground, which is useful :) But it's been great fun so far. Uni is a nice life :) but from Septeber 22nd, my 21st Birthday, it's time to buckle down and learn stuff! :D
