went to my list of genshin name origins to see if there were any celtic characters so:
Collei:
The word collei is Welsh, meaning lost. Additionally, cuilein from Cuilein-Anbar is Gaelic as well, with anbar being Arabic.
However, we have seen Collei's parents before, and they both have head coverings that are seen in Middle Eastern nations, implying they are both from Sumeru.
So, either one (or both) of her parents is at least partially from Mondstadt or Fontaine, or she didn't have a name until she came to Mondstadt in the Webtoon, which is possible as she was given to Barnabas as a baby.
Lynette
The name Lynette is French, but it's derived from Lunette, which comes from Eluned, which is Welsh. It means idol.
Lyney
This is just a diminutive of Lynette
Skirk
What this name is supposed to be isn't really clear, BUT it's possible that she's based on Scáthach, a Scottish warrior woman from Irish folklore who trained heroes. Scáthach is also called "the Shadow." This aligns with Skirk training Childe.
I've also seen people say it may be a reference to Crixus, a Gallic warrior. The Gallic Empire had territory in Brittania, where Celtic nations are.
It could also be derived from skurk, which means villain in multiple Scandinavian languages. However, so far, Skirk hasn't been evil, so I don't see how this correlates.
so basically, there's a maybe possibly mixed girl, two French people whose names are derived from Welsh, and Skirk (allegedly)
that's it 👍
