i desperately need daniel’s adult daughters to appear in s3. imagine you are 40 years old, your father tells you he’s terminally ill, and then he one: doesn’t die, and two: starts dating a 26 year old.

Maybe if you let the busty harpy woman grab you by the shoulders and take you up to her nest high in the mountains where you couldn't possibly escape and raise you like one of your chicks untill you finally give in and grow wings and talons and feathers of your own you could calm down

The issue l'm having with the elephant of Lestat’s role in the trial is not necessarily the particulars of if he was or was not coerced, but that, regardless of how it played out exactly, and since we're ditching so much of Lestat's backstory exploration in favor of his present day story; this thing not being discussed more seems baffling to me. Like I understand the writers may not want to make it the center of the story but the fact of the matter is that the logical progression of the story they have written. Like it seems obvious to me that Claudia’s murder should be the most defining, and certainly most haunting, moment of his present day. Yet Nicki is his most vocal ghost?? ESPECIALLY with the resurgence of Gabriella. Being a victim of parental incest and being coerced to kill your own daughter, OR being that victim and killing your daughter of your own volition, would in any other story take up so much more space. And right now it’s taking up hardly any.

People will froth with glee over the prospect of the Train Scene not actually happening and it’s never because they want Claudia to not have experienced that harm—it’s because they want Lestat to not have said something they find unforgivable. It is about resolving their own discomfort.

It just feels crazy to me that we’ve seen more of Daniel mourning and contending with his failings toward his ALIVE daughters than we have seen Lestat do for Claudia whose death, at least in part, he had a direct hand in causing.
