Since I think Barnaby deserves someone who loves him in his home, I've thought about it and I'm giving his family a house-elf, Anmia, since I believe the Lee family is (canonically?) very wealthy.
And I hc Anmia grew very fond of Barnaby since his parents were busy Death Eating and whatever else, so she's the one left with the task of caring for him and could tell how much of a sweet boy he was ever since he was a wee baby and how this whole ordeal with his parents would damage him - either he'd give in and become like them or hold true to who he his and suffer the consequences for it.
