"you look stuck." it's a poignant observation made at the edge of the dirt road, her hands on her hips and her eyes falling down, down to the rather sharp ledge and the precarious hole holding this stranger at the bottom. maybe a misplaced step sent this poor woman tumbling to the bottom, and now, injured, she can't get herself back up. "i have rope!" hypatia goes on to announce cheerily, turning away from the hole to retrieve a roll of rope from her horse (a hardy ferelden forder). when she returns, she lowers the rope down into the small chasm. "probably should have asked beforehand, but are you too injured to climb up, or do you think you can make it? do you need me to help you up?" it's not an impossible climb by any means — just inconvenient, and surrounded by rocky terrain, dirty grass, and the remnants of mud from an earlier sprinkle of rain. "i saw some men on horseback earlier — they were riding pretty fast, shouting, looking for someone. were they looking for you?" she ties the other end of the rope to her horse's saddlehorn. "go ahead and try to climb! i'll help if you need me!"
