Malik sat in the chair in the livingroom with a spot hung from his lips and fingertips pinched around the end of it to hold it.  He stares at the screen of the tablet, tongue pressed to the inner curve of the spoon seemingly oblivious.

However if Becca comes close enough, she would find a very familiar looking container seated on his lap with one leg crossed lazily over the other semi keeping it balanced there.

So familiar.. it was unmistakable.

[text]: Hey, PHL (Pretty Hacker Lady, ‘cause I don’t know what your name is).  I hope you’re doing okay, because I came back to check on the time machine and Beth said you had to split to do some undercover shit or something.  Anyway, I hope we can hang out once this is over and actually get to know each other when the world isn’t fucking ending.  Respond if you can, but otherwise I’ll see you soon, I guess?

     “What the devil is this?!”

     Jacob staggered backwards, soaking in his unfamiliar surroundings with a sense of awe and shock. His eye blinked, using his incredible senses to gain a better knowledge of the area, still unsure as to where he was. Everything was different. No longer was he standing on the muddy stone streets of London. The ground beneath his feet was smooth and flat. The buildings around him resembled art work rather than the comfortable brick building he had grown accustomed to.
