Marcy and the Frogs (Animorphia X Amphibia Swap AU) - Final Chapter
And now, for the final part of my headcanon and it's gonna be some angst, hurt, and comfort. Even if it means in the future, I might end up let out a single tear while writing the story.
Once they have returned to Amphibia, causing the war to stop when Olivia declares that Andrias and Danne has been defeated. While they're celebrating for their victory, the Core on the helmet flews up to the moon and begin full thruster that the moon was in control with many eyes. Everyone was shocked that Core will flew straight towards meaning that the plan to destroy all life on Amphibia by colliding with its surface.
Just then, when Mother Olm arrived, then she explains that the prophecy state that help is within the three gemstones. But the three are aware that using the stones' energy may not last long enough to send them back home, and could leave them stuck in Amphibia forever. Despite these circumstances, Anne, Sasha, and Marcy are still willing to defend Amphibia and at least that Eddie has been carrying this device to return home for backup just in case.
Mother Olm mentions one more thing to Anne in private saying that as strong as the stones may be, they may not be enough to defeat the Core. However, they contain a hidden power capable of defeating any foe, though at the cost of the user's life. Though hoping the situation will not come to that, regardless, Anne asks how the spell works, to which Mother Olm responds, "You have only but to ask." For Marcy, however went eavesdropped on everything. She knew that she can't let her best friend die and decided to wait until it's time.
Then Valeriana came to help to finally commence the prophecy, connecting the stones' powers within the girls' hearts once more, all powered and armored up, ready to take down the Core once and for all. As everyone was all amazed, but Aldrich begs him to help, so that he can reunite with him. Instead, Andrias send his robots to aid the girls and finally turned against by breaking his connection to the Core at long last by crushing his crown.
The Core thrust the moon closer to Amphibia's atmospheres which cause some Frogbots destroyed while the three of them are almost draining powers. Anne knew that she has to take the risk by sacrificing herself, but Marcy decided to step up and let her take Anne's place. Sasha disagrees that she cannot loose each one of them while Anne pleaded that it's her that the Core wants, but Marcy tells Anne she's been looking out for her all her life and it's time she returned the favor. Anne and Sasha gave their stone to Marcy and head back down to the surface.
When Anne and Sasha returned and tells them that Marcy is going to destroy the Core herself causing the whole family shocked. Sprig takes Frobo up there to stop her before it's too late. Marcy unlocks the spell within the three stones by asking for the power needed to save Amphibia. Hearing her wish, the stones shatter and transfer all their power into Marcy.
Sprig and Frobo flies up that he's begging her not to go and telling her that she changed his life and Marcy replies the same and wish him a goodbye. By then, Marcy has unleash her a massive beam with a an appearance of butterfly like titan to help her firing at the moon, while also destroying the Core once and for all.
Marcy's body now turned into stone, Sprig and Frobo take what's left of her back to Amphibia. With everyone looking at her in tears, not being able to comprehend what's happening. Timon tearfully apologizes for everything, but Marcy replies to her adopted dad it wasn't his fault and she will always be his little angel. Eddie begged his sister to don't go, but Marcy replies that she'll be seeing him again and tearfully wish them her last goodbye before Marcy's stone body begins to dissipate into flowers, marking her death.
Marcy wakes up in a mysterious floating island in some purgatory or alternate dimension that she recognize a poster from Anne's bedroom. She enters the house and stares at the computer. The computer responds as the cosmic guardian that's been watching over countless worlds for eons. To communicate better, the guardian takes the form of the cat that resembles to Domino.
The guardian makes an offer to their title as guardian to Marcy, seeing her is the only mortal that has used the stones' power for good in all 10,000 years of their existence and asking Marcy why taking Anne's place with a huge sacrifice. She replies that Anne has missed so much and can't let her family being heartbroken again.
Marcy politely declined the offer and she said that seeing as she is still young and has a whole life ahead of her to make changes like her friends. Marcy asked if it's possible that her late parents are there, but the guardian replies that they're still alive which she was shocked that she didn't realize that the guardian has been watching many lives that she truly cared. Convinced by this, the guardian allows her to return to the world of the living, saying it can wait until she fully lives 78 more years before retiring and handing the mantle to Marcy.
Then Marcy wakes up and sees her friends and family were still mourning her earlier “death”. Timon tearfully regret for all of this from the start until Marcy comes upon to the group as her friends and family looked surprised and ecstatic to see Marcy is alive again and all run in to hug her. Sprig noticed that something glows in her pocket and and it is revealed to be the remaining shards of the shattered stones from their last use.
As they all gathered at the cliffside near Newtopia, Marcy confirms that the three shards are all that's left of the stones, and they can be used to send her, Anne, Sasha, and her adopted family back home, but can only be used once for that purpose and they can never return. Furthermore, it's unknown how much longer they will last.
Anne says goodbye to Olivia and Yunan, and thank them for shaping her into the better person she is now. Anne forgives Andrias that they all made mistakes and the former king bids her a goodbye and apologize for everything. Sasha and Grime tearfully said goodbye that they'll never forget each other. Marcy shares her goodbye to Maddie and Ivy for being a great friends and promise that she'll be a great magician to the world.
Sprig tearfully shares his goodbye to Eddie that they'll be great brothers, then promise Bailey to look after her boyfriend, then looks up at Pumbaa for being his adoptive nephew, then thanking Timon and Tatiana for being a great parents to him and Polly, and finally tearfully saying goodbye to Marcy and she promised him that she will never forget him. She gives Sprig her phone as a souvenir while Sprig give his phone to Marcy that he received from his birthday.
As Marcy's adopted family steps through the portal first, Marcy, Anne, and Sasha made their final bow with everyone given their farewells, the girls are ready to return back home to Earth. With Sprig giving one last hug, Marcy follows them through the portal until it closed. Having used the last of the stones' power, the music box crumbles to dust and fades away for good. All amphibians decided to take the next step to rebuild their world together.
Like from original timeline for Animorphia (with Anne in Wartwood and Marcy in Newtopia), everyone are having their celebration at the house that the girls are now heroes and received the medal of heroes with their family's help. When Marcy answered the door, but what's surprising her that there are two couples with their kids, it turns out that she realized that it 'was' her late parents who thought they were gone. With Eddie's recognize them, the whole family made a heartwarming reunion with their new siblings, Sean and Mavis, making the whole crowd went awed and happy.
A week has passed until the airport, Timon and Pumbaa decided that Marcy and Eddie shall be living with their own parents since their reunion. Marcy was afraid that she'll be all alone again, but Anne convince her that she's still got Eddie and their new siblings and promise her that it's gonna be okay. Eddie and Bailey shares their goodbye and they will se each other again before they shared their kiss.
After she shared her goodbyes to her friends, then her boyfriend, Ethan (an OC from "Grimes and Day"), and tearfully shares her goodbye to her adoptive family and they promised her that she'll visit on Thanksgiving or Christmas with her own family. After one last group hug, Marcy and Eddie joined with their parents and their siblings to aboard the airplane and takes flight to a different state. Timon and Pumbaa knew that without their gemstones (since they send their gifts to the Plantars), they'll have to work together with humans and animals.
9 months later, Amphibia has been rebuilt with the environment healed from Andrias' industrialization. Grime, Olivia, and Yunan have become dignitaries for toads and newts respectively while one of Anne's oldest friend, Alex (One of my OC's) as the new crowned prince of Newtopia with his sister Lily (Marcy's Theme Song Takeover) as a princess after the newts looked up to them. Toadie has become the new mayor of Wartwood, with Toadstool as his aide.
Hop Pop has started a business selling California avocados that he got from Los Angeles, with Frobo helping garden them at the Plantar Farm. Sprig is shown keeping a journal of all the creatures he's encountered, with the aid of Marcy's phone. Polly has grown into a frog as well. As they arrived at the ceremony, Loggle presents the statue of Marcy in honor of her saving Amphibia.
10 years later, Marcy as 23 years old arrives at the airport where Sasha, same age as her who was waiting for to pick her up and they're heading to Aquarium of the Pacific where Anne became a herpetologist. After their reunion to celebrate Anne's birthday, Eddie and Bailey came in with their son and daughter after they got married as the group went to Disneyland to celebrate 35th anniversary of "The Lion King" where Timon and Pumbaa performs there, and then the whole family made a lovable reunion as they did years ago.
That's all folks! In case you are wondering why there are same endings, but two separate in alternative timeline when I thought I could come up with happy ending and from the epilogue, there are two OC's I add, but one named Alex, is mine and the little newt girl from "Marcy's Theme Song Takeover" belongs to her respectful creator, but I decided to named her Lily and making part of their side story with Marcy in original timeline or alternate timeline with Anne when they swapped.
