Hey guys! Tomorrow we are heading out to Anime Matsuri in Huston, TX. We are super excited!

In response to the newly resurfaced accusations of sexual misconduct and harassment of young women by John Leigh (the head of Anime Matsuri in Houston Texas and his wife Dennis Leigh) I have compiled a lists of places where alleged victims can seek help and advice after experiencing or witnessing anything that constitutes as sexual harassment or abuse.

From the page: “Whether you’re looking for support, information, advice, or a referral, our trained support specialists are ready to help.”  They have a phone (1-800-565-4673) and live chat that are 24/7. They’ve been around since 1994. They have information about the laws from state to state as well as “tips” and advice. Tambien tienen opciones en espanol 7 dias a la semana las 24 horas.

From the page: “The Department of Family and Protective Services provides this secure website for reporting suspicions of abuse, neglect and exploitation of children, adults with disabilities, or people 65 years or older.”  “Child” or “minor” means a person under 18 years of age who is not and has not been married or who has not had the disabilities of minority removed for general purposes.

We provide shelter, counseling and advocacy to support them in building lives free from the effects of violence. We seek social change to end domestic and sexual violence through community awareness and education. Our services are confidential and available to everyone.”  They provide definitions for what sexual assault is and are Houston based.

From the page: “In the past 39 years, The Bridge has become the 8th largest family crisis center in Texas. Every year we serve approximately 20,000 with the purpose of ending domestic violence and sexual assault.” Another Texas based organization in Pasadena and Baytown.

The last two were recommended by my own therapists. Please seek out help. They are very professional and only have your interest in mind. You are not alone and they WILL believe you. You have nothing to be afraid of. It’s not your fault. Even if you just need to talk. They are there for you. 

Hell, we are there for you. Just reach out. Don’t suffer alone. You don’t have to.
