Some animation ideas / things I want to implement into the way I animate Pizza Tower characters (cus I know DAMN WELL, IT'LL HAPPEN AT SOME POINT-)
Anywho, here ya go, hehe :'3
PizzaHead: I want to animate him very reminiscent to older cartoons, Betty boop, Popeye, the classic stuff! But I also want to make him equally flowy, wavy and just simply smooth, nostalgic but with a mixture of modern, because that's what he's technically is, he acts like a living 1920-1930 cartoon in a modern world! I also want to implement this thing where sometimes he changes animation styles entirely, going from digital style to flat out paper/traditional animation (like how most older cartoons were actually done-!), particularly this paper animation would be without color, just the lines. Very specifically when that happens they'll be those film reels outlining his character, when he would shift back they'll re-wrap around him and entirely blend into his outfit! Honestly I need to go make a full design of him- lmao.
Noise: I want him to give off the constant vibes of an action movie, his cape always floating despite there being wind present or not, his movements and poses dramatic and flashy! And I want to have the extra implement that he always has some kind of two-toned color palette, particularly complimentary colors, red blue, Orange green, that type of stuff! I particularly want to do this because oftentimes in movie posters they use this exact form of color in order to make the movie posters pop out!! He is a movie star after all, we have seen his film posters, so I feel like it could be very in character to do this with him :'D
Maurice: I want him to be very bold and loud, every movement exemplifies to every step seems like a stomp every wave of a hand seems like a bitch slapped towards the air; particularly I want to do this with little color waves, like how movies will have sometimes the effect of when a person steps a little ripples of color from their foot, that's what I want to do with his every movement, make it aggressive loud and almost angry. He'll also have very blocky movements, but not enough for it to be considered not smooth. I don't want him to look like a robot that hasn't been oiled in over 10 years afterall-!
Peppino: I want his line art, when animating him, to be sketchy and never perfect, constantly moving and jittery to just give that sense of constant anxiety, also want to do this very specific color things so when he starts feeling tired or paranoid he goes white in the face or when scared or spooked he goes just completely white, kind of like how anime does it, I also want to do the opposite so when he's feeling other strong emotions like anger or happiness there's a lightning of the colors, not necessarily neon, and not necessarily white, just a popping of the colors basically. I also want to implement something similar to the idea I have with pizza head, in times when he slips up messes up or gets particularly anxious his line art gets so jittery and messed up that he goes into the basic form of blocking with digital animation! He's no longer fleshed out or smooth, he's just so stressed out that he can't even bother to look good-! Neat-o ideas really-
PepperMan: I want him to look like he's constantly being repainted with every frame, I want him to look like the very things that he creates, particularly I want him to look like animated action painting: action painting is when you move around your canvas OR constantly move around when painting a sense of abstract art to create a sense of constant emotion, I want to do that exact thing with the way he moves. Emotions, expressions and colors exemplified with him, ever so slightly shifting with every frame, he'll never be perfectly the same shade of red! another thing I want to do is when he turns the style shifts to cubism, AKA drawing angles in a really exemplified in almost abstract way (it's hard to explain, I recommend looking it up-).
Noisette: I want her to look very graceful, the art style France tends to have, graceful smooth and very flowy, like flower petals floating in the breeze, yet I also want it to be very bubbly excited and eccentric, naive and sweet on the outside yet to highly energetic when you really look at the details.
Vigilante: I want him to look very gooey bubbly, like the glove of cheese he actually is, but I also want to give him a very gritty style of movement, something that gives you constant Western vibes constant suspense almost, even if he's in a state of relaxation I went to impose upon the viewer that any moment there'll be a gunslinger action scene! For him I don't want him to be too smooth honestly, I also want there to be this specified way of coloring him, to make it look like he's almost always covered in sand or dust, a piece of tumbleweed or twigs sticking out of his side here or there.
That's all for now, but I'm sure I'll figure out some more later on, for now I just kind of want to set these up for myself, maybe look back at this when I'm animating later on :'D
