8. A goodbye letter

Dear Tatsumi,

I can’t believe I’m graduating soon. Can you believe it? Me? Doing something other than basketball? Man, time really flies. I really had a bunch of fun with you on the team, even if you made me do weird things like making me wear a hat when hanging out with you. What was the deal with that anyway?

Oh, I guess I should tell you that I’m moving away. I told Narukami and Nagase, but I haven’t gotten around to talking about it to you. I’m studying abroad to become a laywer — probably in the America. I need to study a lot so I can support my family and be someone worth their time, y’know? Well… I might not see you for a while, or even ever if you plan on moving after college or I can’t find the time. This… sucks, haha.

I want you to take good care of yourself and become a great man! Seriously, be someone awesome! I’ll try my best to see you when I can. Maybe I’ll send you another letter when I have the time.
