I know you are not familiar with the traditional tales that wizarding children grow up with, but Iâll have you know that Merlin was once assisted in a quest by a noble ferret who was then given the title of Sir Beauberbottern and thereafter all his successors were-â
âWhat quest?â Harry smirked.
âWhat?â
âWhat was the quest that Sir Bubble Bottom assisted Merlin with?â
Draco glared at Harry before he replied with a sniff âBeauberbottern. And it was an important quest.â
âWas itâŚ.was it collecting insects for dinner?â Harry burst into laughter as Draco flung a napkin at him. âOh stop it, Draco. Iâm not that naĂŻve. I know there is no Sir Ferret, loyal friend to Merlin. You made that shit up. And I donât know why. I love how cute you are as a ferret. All helpless and soft.â
âHelpâŚhelpless!â Draco sputtered.Â
âWell, you do always get bullied by other animalsâŚâ
âReally, Potter. The leaps and liberties you allow your thoughts to take. Bullied by animals! Never have I heard anything more ridiculous. I am fast and vicious in my Animagus form. Soft and helpless indeed! I bet youâd want me to be soft and helpless, but I am agile andâŚ.andâŚand sprightly.â
In my humble opinion, there can never be enough Ferret!Draco fics. This is one of my favourites! The fic is positively bonkers and made me laugh aloud. Draco is very snarky and Harry is a very good boyfriend.

#fallforcostume Day 14: Lightâ â Balancing out yesterday's "dark" entry, here's my Archangel Michael costume (from the same video game as Laura's Mephistopheles). My wings were also articulated and stood 14 feet wide when fully extended, though since they were made of feathers and wire mesh, they were much lighter weight (which is good, because with my damaged spine I can't wear anything too heavy).â â Unlike Mephisto's lift bar system, my wings were operated by pulleys and steel cabling that ran down my back. The whole system mounts on a padded weight belt hidden beneath the tunic. (There's a detailed tutorial on our website, if you're curious how it all works.)â â You can't see it well in this photo, but my halo also lights up! (I hid the battery pack under my enormous wig.)
