Badger tamed a snake...ik they are house animals but wow i love how you describe petekao's relationship!
It’s just the animal thing has to come into play, doesn’t it? Also, it reminds me of the OffGun FunNight episode with Tay. If am not mistaken he describes Gun as a honey badger. Gentle at first but secretively vicious and vindictive. So you can’t tell me that a Hufflepuff wouldn’t outsmart a Slytherin? Or that a Hufflepuff should be considered meek. Wasn’t Cedric Diggory a Hufflepuff? A kind soul but intense right?
As for Pete and Kao in this situation. Imagine an actual badger and snake in the wild. (Ironically, Tay’s number #1 animal “he wants to be” is some sort of black something snake...)imagine in the wild a badger and this snake. The snake wants to show its dominance, maybe even eat the badger, who knows. The badger hisses, growls, even lunges forward a couple times. The snake hovers, rethinking a strategy because he was told to duck off. Slowly but surely the badger probably bats the snake in the face, making it lower itself into submission. Taming it, you know? The question remains could a badger ever be tamed? Does the badger (Kao) fly under the radar and the unwitting snake (Pete) has no clue it’s surrendered all control?
Anon, I took this answer way too far. It’s just I too share an excitement over animals like Tay (watch the FunNight ep). I have a top three that I’d love to be in another life: elephant, dolphin and dog. Maybe five if you throw in a butterfly and turtle. If we haven’t figured it out I’m a little bit crazy.
