Hello there! I just came across your blog and wanted to ask a question. I haven’t looked through your blog much so you may have talked about this already, but do you have any favorite or influential books that you’ve read? If so, how have they helped change your writing?
OHH MY GOD the how to train your dragon books by creasida cowell have definitely been a HUGE influence as ive developed my writing style. theyve been my favorite books my whole life, and i was really hyperfixated on them around the time i started writing. those books are the reason i use CAPITALIZATION and well as italics for dramatic effect — they both mean different things to me! more recently ive been trying to write more like joseph fink too, like his writing in alice isnt dead! and then...... fanfiction. there are some very, very good fanfiction writers that have taught me really valuable things. one fanfic i read had the most beautiful imagery i had EVER read in ANYTHING and i aspire to write more like that!
