A traveler, writer, and professor of the second century of the Modern Court Period, Argas wrote many treatises on linguistics and literature. He eventually taught at the illustrious Rallomer School in rural Aureas.

A gifted staff officer of mixed Calaanese and Sillan descent, Tiza grew up in the port town of Brimstream before studying in Lakeburr and Nanogar. He became Mallas Terigan's indispensable right hand commanding a regiment of cranequiniers, before serving as his Chief of Staff during the Mero-Anharan War.

As General-Commander of the Army of the Front during the Mero-Anharan War at the end of the second century of the Modern Court Period, he was a brilliant strategist who engineered Anhara's victory with the assistance of his loyal Chief of Staff (and rumored lover) Petrel Tiza.

The Editor-in-Chief of the Aureas Gazette in the late third century of the Modern Court Period, Dain is the third child of rural gentry who own an estate in the Aurean countryside. He is well-traveled, articulate, sly, and knowledgeable.
