I don’t know how to attack this feeling I’m having. It’s not necessarily that I have writer’s block. It’s more like:

I no longer believe in my story being any good and at the place where I stopped, I’m feeling more like my overly complex, likely plot-hole ridden story isn’t holding any water and,

I’m not enjoying the useless word plumping that NaNo forces you to do. It’s leading to poor writing, and while at first I was ok with having to edit that, the more useless, unnecessarily long, drawn-out scenes I write, the more the voice inside my head goes, “What the fuck are you doing, you’re taking something that once had potential and burying it deeper in the landfill, stop, STAHP!”

So I’m just stuck in stasis atm. I either need to reaffirm with myself that I can make a decent story out of what I have, that I even *have* a good or plausible story to tell...or that the discomfort NaNo is causing is worth it for...some reason.

Yeah, at first it felt good to reach the goal, but now I’ve been stuck here for a couple of days as I go through my crisis. The draft has been deleted and undeleted and um...

17. Would you like your books to be turned into TV shows, movies, videogames, or none?

“Books”, lol. If only I could make a published living writing about Hoseok’s dick.

I think my stories would work best as movies so I’ll go with that. I often visualize scenes cinematically so it makes sense. Especially the ones that have a bit more action.

22. Do you start with characters or plot?

Definitely plot. I’ll admit that building characters into well-rounded, multi-dimensional people is one of my weak points as a writer, probably because of the unintentional social detachment I unfortunately have with actual people. The story I want to tell always dictates the type of characters I want to involve, never the other way around.
