okay two things. 1) mileven seeing each other 2 times in 2 years for 1 day each?!?!? whyyy? its so cruel 😩. 2) tom holland is the douche rival huh XD i love it because i can see tom holland being like That Guy but he ironically has been pigeon holed into playing similar characters to Mike - the nerdy scrawny socially awkward guy - dottie

More seriously, I’m having Mileven see each other so seldom for the same reason (IMO) that the Duffers had El move away at the end of ST3 — to do a time jump but keep Mileven’s relationship basically in stasis until the new story starts. So they’ll pine for each other, and miss each other, and they’ll get older, but the relationship will pretty much stay in the same place it was in at the end of Special 2. If anything, it might go back a bit at first because Mike and El will have to relearn how to relate to each other. And of course the Tom/Ewan OC has been using the time to get friendlier with El... oh, Mike will be furious.
On your second point, you are so right! It’s funny how playing Peter Parker has pointed TH a certain way. I suspect he would be great at playing a villain or a jerk/douche. I’m hoping in the future he decides to stretch more as an actor - he must have enough money by now to take some chances creatively in an indie film or something.
