Angieās List merchants can now accept payments with Square
#SuryaRay #Surya Consumer review service Angieās List is partnering with Square to let merchants ā service providers like plumbers, housecleaners and painters ā accept credit card payments from their iPhones. In what appears to be a first for Square (Iām checking with the company but havenāt been able to reach them yet), itsĀ technology will be integrated into Angieās Listās iOS app, Angieās List Business Center, which also lets companies respond to consumer reviews. āWeāre proud to work with Angieās List to make life easier for businesses of all sizes,ā Square cofounder and CEO Jack Dorsey said in a statement. Angieās List has about 1.7 million subscribers, most of whom pay a membership fee that varies depending on their location (in New York City, itās $3.60 a month). The company had previously announced in its October earnings call that it would be working with Square, but hadnāt explained the specifics. āTheĀ Square relationship fits into a much bigger and more important activity set thatās around deconstructing the local service transactions ā measuring it, monitoring it, improving it, and enforcing it,ā CEOĀ Bill Oesterle said at the time. Square, based in Silicon Valley, hasĀ raised over $340 million in fundingĀ and has aĀ reported valuation of $3.25 billion.
