Although Ryuu had been attending Spirale Academy for a couple months, he didn’t spend a lot of time engaging in conversation with his peers. Even back in his own world, he only really made friends because a couple of rowdy (yet really kind) kids forced their way into his life. That’s not to say he was annoyed by them- he loved his friends from home dearly.
Maybe that’s what makes attending school in Spirale difficult. But he may as well get into the habit. He even joined the kendo club, which he only joined back at home to make Yui happy.
Someone else was in the club too, but they had never spoken. Ryuu decided it would be awkward if they practiced the same sport without ever speaking to each other, so one day after practice he sat down and placed a lemonade bottle by his teammate’s foot in silent offering.
“Yo.” He said with a small wave. “I don’t think we’ve ever met before, my name’s Ryuu.”
“... Even though you don’t look much older than me, you move like a pro. Are you experienced with a sword?”
