Q stared at the computer screen, not sure if what he was feeling was aggitation or anxiousness. The blip that was Bond had just blipped right off the screen. Vanished. He took a step back from his laptop to look up at the large projection screen in front of him. A young member of Q Branch staff pointed out helpfully: "Bond's not there anymore." Q rolled his eys at the other man.
"Yes, I can see that, actually." he replied, before stepping back to his keyboard and typing in a long string of code. Could his chip have gone offline? The GPS destroyed? He sighed. There were any number of things that could have happened. For all he knew, Bond had decided he didn't like his mission and buggered off somewhere.
Before he could despair, he remembered that he'd given Bond a new phone just before this mission. With any luck, he'd still have the thing. Q typed in the number and listened to the ringing, until it was picked up. He exhaled loudly.
"You drive me to vexation, 007." He said. "Now, would you do me a single kindness and tell me where the hell you are?"
