Rachelle Bussières explores the impact of light on our psyche, environment and social structures. These lumen prints include photograms that oscillate between two-dimensional images and three-dimensional objects. These are windows on interior spaces that grow abs are depleted by sunlight, as well as artificial light sources. Bussières seeks to generate new ways of seeing, to challenge our beliefs and intuitions about perceptions, and draw attention to the ways in which light and shadow sculpt new optical space. This and other new works now on view in “High Plains”, an exhibition also featuring works by Blaise Rosenthal and Andy Vogt. “After Dune II (two circles and a disk, 1 hour and 5 minutes” Archival pigment print of scanned lumen Available as 50x44, Ed of 3, 40x33, Ed of 3, and 24x20, Ed of 5 #johanssonprojects #rachellebussieres #blaiserosenthal #andyvogt #highplainsexhibition #lumenprinting #photogram (at Johansson Projects) https://www.instagram.com/p/CZKe6HUvJJv/?utm_medium=tumblr
