I have been dancing my whole life. When i was three my sister was dancing, and what I have been told is that I would run into her classes and attempt to copy her. Two decades on and I am becoming a dance teacher in my own right. I have gone from bows and tule to sweat pants and headaches to glitz and glam. I’m not done yet. No way near. I will dance as long as this body lets me and I’ll teach even longer. Dance has been integral in making me who I am. My teachers have taught me more than just steps and combinations. My dance family has changed and changed again. Without dance my anxiety takes over and depression sets in. To some they may think my dancing is a hobby or lame. But to me it is my career.
