Merlin, Emm had missed getting actual quality time with Andromeda. The holiday party at Hogwarts hadn’t been a fiasco but that didn’t mean she’d particularly enjoyed her time as Owen Baldwin (Merlin she really had to find a way to make it up to Sofiya in particular). She’d not even got a moment to say hello during breaks at work. It had been maddening. Receiving Andy’s owl, while not as intensely welcome as Maura’s, had felt like a godsend. 

Now she had country air on her face and in her lungs, and the most charming little house in front of her. It felt right for something that Ted would find for Andy. It felt like somewhere they’d both make into a home.

“Andy? Ted?” She said as walked up to the door and knocked, not wanting to just barge in. Maurice the ball snake was wrapped round her neck and she had a surprise hidden in her bag. “I’m here!”

As Sirius finished his note to Narcissa about the family tapestry, he paused. And swore. He’d become so fixated on his family that he’d forgotten the important person in his family. There was only one person blood-related to him willing to talk to Sirius in public, and Sirius hadn’t told her yet.

He knew Andy was busy with work, but he hoped she wouldn’t mind him surprising her by waiting at the end of a shift one day. When he saw her coming down the hall, Sirius hoped up. 

“Andy!” he called. “Hey, you have an evening open for your favorite cousin?”

As far as he was aware, no one had laid claim to terrorizing Andromeda Black. Well. Not entirely true. She was Bella’s ex-sister (or however ex a direct blood relative could become) and Malcolm’s old flame. So he was probably stepping on Diana and Bella’s toes. Not that he was certain either of them ever interacted with her. Personal politics among Purebloods always got so convoluted. Someone ought to make a flow-chart.

He lounged casually against one of the pillars near the staff entrance to St. Mungo’s, one of his vultures circling overhead, as he waited for Andromeda to get off work. Several people had given him a wide berth as they went and he grinned.

“Andromeda.” He drawled, pushing himself off the wall to great her. “It’s been such a long time.”

She walked into the small tea shop that they had agreed to meet at, and Delilah spotted Andromeda sitting towards the back. She carefully made her way through the other tables and lowered the hood of her cloak, and carefully sat down in the chair opposite her.

“Hello, Andromeda. How are you?”

Daisy smiled as she signed another title page. She did press very infrequently, but as long as she had the fame, it made sense to make use of it for good. When a St. Mungo’s representative had first contacted her, Daisy had wanted to keep her name out of it, but she had to admit it had led to quite a line of people willing to donate in exchange for autographs.

What protection can Tonks bring to her. She cannot die during this war. I will do what it takes to ensure that doesn’t happen.
