Alphonse removed his jacket as he walked into his apartment. Today had been quite a long day. There was so much to learn about alkahestry, and Al couldn’t easily comprehend it. The Xingese use odd, spiritual terms to describe it. Why couldn’t they just use normal, scientific terms?

Al sighed. It was late, and he needed rest for tomorrow, so the boy walked over to his dresser to grab some sleepwear. Along the way, he spotted a familiar figure in the corner. Startled, he turned to see what it was.
