How long had he been in the room for? According to the calender he was programmed with it was now 2012, he had been placed in here soon after his creation with no explanation other than to be a good android. He was supposed to listen to those around him and to help when the programmers came in to check things or switch him around. They had tampered with his hair last time, seeing if they could use black instead but quickly gave up when learning that the fans liked the white.
Fans. Everything about him was supposed to appeal to them. What did they like, what did they hate, what did they want. Apparently, they got a lot of complaints about his voice, which Piko didn't understand, he liked his voice and the vocal range was suppose to mirror what he could do, so why were people upset?
Sony had tried to mess with his voice, Piko didn't like when that happened since he was supposed to be awake for it. Talking with someones hands in your throat—android or not it wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world.
Why wasn't what Piko was good enough? Why did humans dislike what they create? Why were they always looking for the flaws in everything? If you put your heart and soul into making something, shouldn't you be proud of it no matter how little it is? Piko was an android, he was a creation, but he was given feelings too. He didn't have a soul but he thought and felt so wasn't what he wanted important too? If you give something the ability to feel shouldn't you care about what they might feel when you say or do something?
Humans were confusing.. they tell each other to believe in themselves, to like what they do and have faith in their creation whether it's art or music, programming, but when it comes themselves... what they told others suddenly doesn't count.
The old saying was; treat others the way you want to be treated, so shouldn't you believe what you tell other people?
Piko just—he wanted to be good enough as he was, he wanted people to be proud of him, he wanted... to be acknowledged as worth someone remembering. The longer he sat here, the more lengths of times passed before someone else came in, before someone checked up on him or wanted him. Was it so easy to forget him? To place him aside because they had better projects that were more popular?
Did anyone remember him?
The strange warm liquid they had put in him to act as tears started to drip down his face and Piko tried to rub them away. He didn't even know what he was feeling, no one had explained it to him, they didn't tell him anything, they talked like he wasn't even there when they were in the same room. He was nothing but a robot to them even if they did give him self-awareness.
There was one thing Piko understood though-- he was lonely. Sitting here everyday, in the empty room was eating away at him. He wanted people to talk to, he wanted someone to share his thoughts with, he wanted friends.
Friends wouldn't forget him right? He would be remembered, he would matter to them, that was how it was supposed to be right?

Piko doesn't have a heart so if he's scared or in love he won't feel the same heart pounding experience that everyone else does but his body will mirror the same symptoms that the human one would such as; feeling nervous, hot, jumpy, embarrassed.
Though because he doesn't have a heart he feels he can't truly fall in love like in the books.
-(Nsfw)-
On the subject of bodies; Piko cannot have children in anyway. In sexual encounters his body would react the same way as any mans, but he does not have semen. It would be the same as shooting blanks.
Obviously, being an Android, Piko doesn't have bones or a soul. His body inside is a mechanical skeleton with several different wires and chips that can all be linked back to his usb cord. His skin is meant to model humans and to the touch will feel like normal hairless skin but has special fibers and no oil. This being the case, he can't get Tattoos and if you search and feel hard enough you can feel where his skin was connected to join together.
His body is connected at his head just below his hair line, neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, thighs, knees, ankles. It's made this way so Sony could take him apart and put him back together as needed. It's also helpful to replace damaged parts without to much trouble. The down side of it though is with moving around so much his screws can get loose and if pulled hard when he's loose the body part will come off.
Piko doesn't get sick, but now and again he can run slow (like normal computers sometimes) and he will mimic the symptoms of the human cold. He'll run a high temper and feel incredibly down and slow. It usually never lasts more then twenty four hours. If it does last longer the chances are he has a virus and will only get worse.
Piko doesn't bleed or heal, his hair won't grow back if it's cut or damage (though he will feel pain). If his body is hurt in anyway he has to go back to Sony and have himself repaired or certain body parts replaced. It's the only time he goes to them for help.

Beepbeep click. The Android's fingers twitched as the system started to breath life into itself, they curled and uncurled, feeling around discreetly for whatever was below him. He could feel the smooth marble of whatever he was sitting on up and if he moved them a bit closer to his being he could feel the silky edges of what he had been temporarily dressed in. Switching to another sense he listened to the area around him, picking up the discreet and yet not so discreet voices. It seemed as though they were trying to talk quietly to not be heard but failing horribly. Deciding it was safe enough to open his eyes Piko took the chance.
The first thing that he was met with was the incredible intensity of the bright white lights above him. He flinched and closed one of his eyes, trying to shield himself from it as he glanced around. Now that he was looking he realized what he was sitting on looked like a table but was completely bare. His body had been wrapped in a sheet but other than that he was completely naked. He felt the need to ask where he was but for some reason also felt like he knew it was weird and honestly a bit frightening. Piko shifted and tugged the blanket closer around himself before looking to the ground of people standing in front of them.
“Piko's been hardwired with the basic singing ability of every other Vocaloid, but the range we gave him gives him that of one even further than Len Kagamine.” Was that a bad thing? He knew they were talking about him but Piko didn't get the exact meaning behind their words.
“Do you think their going to be okay with this? It wasn't what they were expecting. Look at him he looks like a little boy.” Again, he frowned and glanced down around at himself. Piko didn't think he looked like a little boy, he wasn't that short actually if he compared himself to the images stored within his hard drive of the other Vocaloid he was about equal height with quite a few of them. His hair, face and body were supposed to look like that man, the person he was based off of.
“At least we tried, if he catches on he catches on. We can always rely on PIKO to boost the popularity of his Vocaloid. If not, we can always scrap him and start again.” The android stiffened on the table and looked to the strangers wide eyed and frightful. How could they talk about scrapping him so easily? He hadn't even been awake for a few minutes, he wasn't even given a chance to show himself and what he could do! Didn't what he was feeling matter? He was programmed with human emotions and senses, so clearly they wanted him to be able to think and feel on his own right?
Piko wanted to live, he wanted to exist like everyone else got the right to! So he wasn't perfect? According to his data base human's were far from perfect too, wasn't he allowed to have mistakes? Glitches? What if he didn't want to be perfect and like everyone else!
When the people moved Piko stiffened even more, looking up to them as one reached out and grabbed the cord in his lap. “Ah, Piko, go back to sleep we still have work to do.” No, NO! He didn't want to sleep! What if they did something! The cord was pushed into a small slot next to him and the androids vision faded to black.
Powering Down...
When he woke up again Piko had been updated with more information, dance movements, command prompts and some locked files in the back of his head. He tried to get into them but all he ended up with was a zap and a dizzy feeling. He had decided to ignore them and focused on what he was supposed to be doing. For the sake of promotion he was told to dance and sing while it was recorded. He did as told and even got to meet a few other Vocaloid to work with.
They were like him, they were kind and Piko found being around them a lot easier than the humans he interacted with. A few of them even were nice enough to show him a few things that he might need in order to survive and act like a normal person. He enjoyed every minute he got to spend with the other androids and even learned that there were several versions of them that walked about in the world. The thought of there being other hims didn't upset or even scare Piko, actually it excited him a little bit. He wondered what they were like, if they had the same experiences as him and even if they were threatened to be discontinued and scraped like he was.
When they were done with what was needed for the release on December 8th (2010) what Piko had decided to call his birthdate the strange people in lab coats took him back to the headquarters, which at this point he learned was called Sony, and showed him the room he was going to be kept in till they needed him again.
Time seemed to pass so slow in the room. People came in and out, plugged him in and shut him down, tampered with things inside his body until—it seemed like they almost stopped coming. After a while everything in the room seemed dead and silent, almost like they forgot he was there. Piko was kept updated on the latest SONY projects the new Playstations and PSP's. But no one ever came for him.
Eventually, he decided to try the door, testing the knob and when he found it open, he ventured out of the small space he had been put into. Piko wandered around at first and when no one batted a single eye at him, yelled at him for leaving his room, he walked right out the front door. Everything was so bright and new. He started down the street, taking in the sights and smells. A few strangers bumped into him and scowled, drawing the Androids curious attention as to why they were so mad when they bumped into him.
Humans were strange and frightening.
The note was made and he continued on his way, finding himself at a library. Since he knew they were public access and free, Piko stepped inside and started to search though books and his own mind to see what he would need to know to exist in the human world.
According to everything that he read the first thing a person needed was a home, somewhere to sleep and at least live. So, Piko got himself an apartment and with the money he could access from what Sony still got off of him, he payed the basic small bills.
This was possible, he could do this; exist and live without being locked away and forgotten. He wouldn't let anyone forget him, not again. Piko existed and he wanted to exist like a real person would.
Piko is incredibly nervous around humans. When he's around other androids he's a lot more comfortable and loose. He feels as though they accept him more than the humans.
Piko won't automatically assume he's friends with someone no matter how many times they talk and do things together. He will usually ask if the other person to be his friend but if he doesn't and they don't he'll assume their just two people who know each other (acquaintances). He doesn't know that being friends could happen any other way. He usually asks to be friends right away or after talking for a while, if he likes the person.
