Vampire Katniss AU
Peeta is smitten with the mysterious girl who only leaves her home after dusk and never talks to anyone. He tries to befriend her but his famous garlic cheese buns (she refuses to even touch them) and his attempts to talk to her when he tries to invite her for walks always fail. He thinks she hates him, BUT our gurl is a vamp and he is sunshine personified. Plus, he looks delicious and she refuses to have his purity tainted by her nature.
Bonus points for angst: She turned into a vampire to save Prim from an illness only for Prim to be too weak to resist her sister’s bite and die in the process. Decades of pain and regret have turned Katniss into a bitter woman.
BRUH. You lured me in with the cuteness of her avoiding the garlic cheese buns and then BAM angst right in my face. Oh, my poor baby … I need more details! I need to think about how Peeta breaks down her walls and assures her she couldn’t possibly corrupt him the way she thinks she would. And he is delicious she was correct.
