~Andi Brooks, entry 5.~

When Lyssa and I are retired, when it’s just us two...we will dance and sway to music all day long. We can do what we want. No pesky work, and our kids will take care of themselves. For now, I plan for retirement, and teach my kids to be good at things. I got to tutor Xialla in painting the other day. It was a beautiful flower. I hope she might take it up as a hobby one day.

We haven’t heard from Cayson other than a single phone call and a text that school is super busy. Lyssa cries over him at night. 

~Andi Brooks, entry 2. Humor and Hijinks festival with my family~

We met Hope and Erwin in San Myshuno for the H&H Festival, but only Xi was feeling it. I can’t help but be worried about BOTH of my boys. Cayson hasn’t given us a call yet, and Oscar’s mood swings are horrible. 

Lyssa tried talking to him. “Oscar baby, what’s wrong?”

“Nothing Mom. Absolutely nothing.”

“Clearly something...”

“Just drop it Mom, it’s not like anyone listens anyway.”

“Listen? About what baby?”

“Cayson for starters.”

“Is there something? Has he contacted you?”

“Nope!”

“I am sure he is just studying really hard honey, he’ll contact us soon.”

Xialla hasn’t looked at me at all in days. She was sick for nearly a week, but after that she went to school. I know she’s confused, and I know she’s hurt. I am too, but it’s not her fault. I just don’t know how to fix this. She just sticks with Oscar when they are home and goes to school, or is in her room. 

Whiskers misses Cayson. He has only called Lyssa, he hasn’t talked with me yet. 

I am worried about all of my family.

I...oh by the watcher, what do I even do...my baby girl is sick and scared and mad at me and I just blew up at her. She can’t go to the hospital!!!! I have not been keeping her safe and hidden for fourteen years for her to just hand herself over to the blasted scientists! She isn’t a normal sim, she’s from Sixam for plum sakes! But I never told her for her own protection, and now she’s fourteen and thinks she knows everything, well guess what young lady you DON’T! You are grounded! 

...I messed up. I lost my temper, I yelled...and I am terrified. I panicked. 

I don’t know how to fix this. 

I never told her. Should I have? She is so young and carefree...and growing up far too fast.

For the first time, I feel ancient.

Work has been stressful as of late. No news on my niece, and the covert ops sectors are stressed and uppity about SOMETHING, but as of now they had no need for the Corporate Marshal. Fine by me. I am looking forward to when I can retire. I know Lyssa is too. 

Whiskers has run away. We are all upset. I called Cayson to let him know that we had put out all the feelers. I had to leave a voicemail. He was probably in class, it is a weekday after all. I put out some of Cayson’s old shirts, food, and had the entire town covered in posters. Lyssa even went fishing for a video, so we could put out fresh fish. Might as well right?
