Just after graduating from St Martins and planning my move to Paris I was contacted by Olivier Zahm from an incredible Magazine years ahead of its time called PURPLE PROSE - I’d met Olivier and Elein at the June Exhibition at @thaddaeusropac some time earlier. They were planning a Fashion Edition of their Magazine, featuring 5 photographers and 5 designers. Anders Edström was going to take photos of my work . .. Soon after the birth of Purple Prose, Zahm and Fleiss created spin-off publications like les cahiers purple, Purple Sexe, Purple Fiction, and of course, Purple Fashion. In 1995, Tokyo-based Street Magazine (@streetmag) invited Belgian avantgardist MMM to publish a special edition dedicated to its work. Maison Martin Margiela was founded in Paris by Martin Margiela and Jenny Meirens in 1988.
