Allan Ladds were an early Swedish pop/rock/punk band. They were based in Eskilstuna (west of Stockholm) and released three 7"s between 1979 and 1981. "Ingestans-Ingenting 1977-1983" is touted as a greatest hits, but I'm guessing it also serves as a complete anthology as well.
Listening to this, I'm impressed by the fact that Allan Ladds seem to have left their own imprint on punk. The saxophone brings a certain funk (a la Madness), but at other times just adds to the rock (like Bruce Springsteen). Then, their upbeat pop/punk can also sound like Joe Jackson or Elvis Costello,.
Tomas and Anders Bergstrom began Undefined Sounds in the 2000s and made this compilation but also took possession of remaining stock of their three 7"s.
