Genuine curiosity are all the comments on DD / GA due to the new Pat Skipper interview down to lots of newer fans around? Just as an oldie who watched since s2 aired, this is such old news lol. Especially as he was probably around s4/5 (FtF filmed inbetween) and that was supposedly peak issues time. DD during pre s10 press said the show made monsters out of them but people like Kim Manners said there was love too and Tea said it was complicated rs. Nice they got past the issues & are friends now
It's possible! Though it seemed more like a troll to me. I honestly can't say. I've been around since the 90s and I'm just so tired of it. Yes, they didn't always get along but somehow they made peace with it, and each other, and now get along way better. Gillian said in an interview toward the end of the original run that she thinks they'll get along better once the show is done and she was right.
Like I said, Pat Skipper was only in a few episodes and like you said, it was peak problem time π honestly, if there hadn't been some kind of love between them (friendship is love, too, before anyone comes at me), they probably wouldn't have had so much trouble. It's much easier to ignore someone and feel indifferent to if you don't care about them. They're both stubborn and moody and had to shoot so many scenes together. Of course they were annoyed with each other!
You cannot imagine how happy my teenage self was when they were friendly during the IWTB time. Or how my heart burst seeing them during 2010s. I'm so glad they're friends now too.
