Elijah nearly caught up with Kolton, but the little boy darted fast under Elijah's legs and back towards the living room. Elijah spun around and ran after his son, and when he made it out into the living room, the normally well groomed, tailor-suited original groaned at the sight, of all of Kolton's toys splayed across the floor. Elijah threw his hands in the air then got down and started picking up the toys again, tossing them back into the toy bin. He picked up Frannie again, the little girl squealed and clapped loudly, there was an awful smell in the air, and Elijah stopped suddenly, he sniffed Frannie's diaper and groaned.

He took her right to the nursery and changed her diaper. He tossed it in the rubbish bin then put a new diaper on his little girl. She squealed and clapped again as soon as she was clean, and Elijah lifted her up into his arms. He kissed her cheeks and forehead repeatedly, then ran down the hall to where Kolton's giggles came from. He came into the kitchen just in time to catch the little boy, stopping him from knocking off a large vase on top of himself. He scooped him right up into his arm (the one that didn't have Frannie) and put him over his shoulder.

He spun around and walked down the hall, Kolton was giggling and kicking his feet as Elijah walked, Frannie was laughing, trying to grab a hold of her older brother's feet. The old vampire set his little boy down on his and Damon's bed, then laid down next to him and set Frannie on his lap. "No leaving the room, Kolton." He eyed the little boy, who gave him the most innocent look possible.

Elijah sighed heavily, then pulled the little boy close to him. Kolton snuggled into his father's side, he yawned and stuffed a thumb in his mouth - Frannie immediately imitated him.
