i keep getting emotional over characters being allowed to show ‘ugly’ emotions, specifically protagonists, and characters that the audience is meant to like and identify with. characters who get angry and can’t hide it, who get anxious in a way that comes out as frustration, who get jealous even when they know it’s not fair to be, who are so afraid of being abandoned that they lash out and keep everyone at a distance, who are too clingy and too much and know it but can’t stop. i spent so long villainizing myself for having emotions that were too big and too wrong, and it just means a lot to see compassion for that kind of character and to see them get a chance to heal and accept themselves.

pat would be a rabid itzy fan. when ppl first call him icy in college he thinks ITZY?? then remembers its an adjective too and thinks huh i don't think i'm that but ITZY and just runs w it. he loves it.
