okay, at this stage i think i’ve read enough and seen enough on my clinical rotations to be able to reasonably answer any exam question they throw at us, even if I haven’t studied for that exact question. It really depends on what their standard of passing students is. Like, if they spring something like a nystagmus or dysphasia case on us (yeah, neuro’s not my strongest suit), i may be able to fling out a few differentials, but if they ask anything in detail, neuroanatomy-wise, etc., i may be in trouble.

and i get such bad performance anxiety. i’ve sorta combatted that this year by thinking of myself as a ‘healthcare worker-in-training’ instead of a ‘medical student’, so that when i’m reporting back to senior doctors or assessing patients, i feel like i have a right to be there, that i’m contributing something, that i’m doing my job instead of being examined or scrutinised. 

i’ll just go into my viva exams with the same mindset, and hopefully that will suffice.
