What was that? Tendo paused his hunt to listen. It sounded like a scream, and seeing as his prey had turned towards the source of the noise, it probably meant someone was in a lot of trouble. He whistled to his companion to follow and ran after the beast.
“Kuso.” He skid to a halt at the sight of a woman felled in a pool of blood before immediately taking aim to shoot the lancer first, while commanding Dagger to get the boarbatusk.
The dog growled and barked fiercely as she charged forward and latched her sharp teeth onto the black fur of the Grimm. It was distraction enough to allow the hunter time to draw his blade and rush the giant insect, slicing its head off to dust the beast.
He slung the rifle back over his shoulder and hurriedly knelt down in the seeping red liquid to try and save the poor woman. It looked like she had been carrying a guitar of some kind, but doing so out here on her own? Maybe it was a weapon and she was a huntress caught in a mess. That didn’t really matter right now. All that mattered was stopping the bleeding. Dagger seemed to be holding her own, so he didn’t worry about the other Grimm at the moment.
“Hold on,” he ordered, taking some emergency bandages out of one of the many pouches on his belt. “Don’t move. Can you hear me?” Placing a firm hand over the impaled wound, he could feel warmth and a heartbeat, weak as it might be, she was still alive, thank the gods.
