 Chapter 1 “The Particle Accelerator Explosion”

 Blue eyes looked frustrated at the sheet of paper that was filled with red stripes. The blond put the it down and bit the end of his pen before looking outside. He could see buildings pass like a flash. His eyes were back on his work. He grabbed the pen and put yet another big red stripe through the chemical formula that was obviously wrong.  He sighed, writing a big “F” on the right corner of the paper, but his hand slipped out. The top stripe of his ‘F’ was now ridiculously long.

“Chips!” The man hissed.

He looked outside and noted the train had just left the station and took a turn to get back on the right rails. He put the paper away in a folder that was placed in a brown leather shoulder bag. He took the next test out and he made a small prayer and hoped this would be the first student who passed his, in his opinion, easy test.

The sound of a creaking chair made the teacher look up. Sitting in front of him was a very handsome, foreign- looking man. He was wearing headphones and the blond could hear is music slightly from where he was sitting. The man locked eyes with the him. Obviously, he sensed the teacher looking at him.

 “Uhm..Hey” the teacher said nervously as he took off his glasses and hung it on the breast pocket of his white shirt. The raven gave him a small nod.

“I am Naruto…Oh..You need some space on the table? It Is rather small.” Naruto indicated to the small table between them. The man shook his head before looking at the table. His eyes remained on the sheet of paper.

“Oh...I am correcting some…Tests” Naruto loosened his orange tie slightly around his neck.

 “You are a teacher.”  The guy’s voice was soft, but clear. Naruto was surprised he even could hear him through the music.

 “Ah yeah…Chemistry” Naruto said nervously. The raven finally looked him in the eye. He noticed how dark this men’s eyes were. He could hardly make out a pupil, but they had this exotic feeling to them. Naruto bit the inside his cheek. This guy was damn good looking.

“Cool” the guy said. Naruto could see a hint of interest in his face that hadn’t been there before. “What university?”

“Oh, I went to Konoha-university” Naruto said.

“I meant what university you teach at?” The guy seemed sincere with his question, and if Naruto’s self-esteem wasn’t crushed by the fact this guy was already physically way out of his league…It crumbled in millions of small pieces when he seemed to crush his spirit and intelligence with it.

“High-school.” Naruto whispered and put his glasses back on the check the next test and to his misfortune…The first question was wrong. He sighed deeply, crossing the answer.

“Come on, we covered this in class…Dattebayo”

A few minutes had passed, and Naruto looked beat when he had to write down yet another “C- “on the corner of the test.

“Maybe I didn’t teach this chapter as well as I thought” he muttered to himself before, putting the test away.  He noticed the sound of light music missing. He looked up at the guy sitting in front of him. He looked away as if he had been staring, but Naruto doubted that. He wasn’t the type of guy people drooled over, let along stare at.

He put his glasses away before staring outside the window. The train passed a big building.

“S.O.U.N.D.S labs…Have you read about the particle accelerator?” Naruto asked the raven. The guys seem to smile, but Naruto couldn’t tell because he was leaning his chin on his hand. He could however see the corner of his mouth curl up.

“You know the quantum theory is light-years away of anything at CERN. There is so much to learn from it. It’s a new way of looking at physics. It will literally change the way we think about everything.” Naruto stopped talking and chuckled. “I am sorry…I am such a teacher always babbling none-stop”

The train came to a stop and the guy got up, grabbing his backpack. For a moment Naruto thought he had ignored him. Which didn’t surprise him. He could have ignored some high-school chemistry teacher as well if he were some college student.

“I helped build it” The guys said, before walking away.

Naruto’s blue eyes widened.

“Holy shit” Naruto said, realising he had made an even bigger fool of himself.

Naruto was inside the school lab as he counted the number of pipettes he has and how many his students managed to break in just one afternoon. He counted twenty so far.  He wrote it down on his Ipad before noting the time. It was almost Five P.M.

He turned to the news right away even though he was still in the inventory. He didn’t want to come near the lab after his possible embarrassment in the train. He figured perhaps the man was messing with him, but once he turned on the news he could see Dr. Orochimaru, the men who was in possession of more than seven PHD’s, probably the word’ s smartest scientist, especially in the field of physics, giving a press conference.   And right behind him was his close circle of employees and standing there on the right was the handsome man Naruto had met in the train, but this time he wasn’t wearing a black hoody, but a shirt and a tie.

“Fuck me…” Naruto sighed. He put his Ipad on the lab table, taking off his lab coat. Suddenly he heard his Ipad, beeping, followed by the reporting saying that there was something wrong.

Naruto walked towards the table and saw how the wifi-signal was suddenly lost and on top of that, the power suddenly shut down, even that of his Ipad. He walked towards the window and heard an explosion. It sounded even loud on the other side of the city. He could see a giant red beam shoot up in the sky, creating some sort of wave, and to top it all he could see lightning.

“Fuck” Naruto whispered, thinking on how bad the situation in the lab must be. How many people must be hurt, injured…Or even dead. The thought of the guy in the train popped in his head. Naruto hoped he was alright. He hoped everyone was.

The red beam and lighting weren’t the only things that were strange. Right in the reflection of the window, Naruto could see some of the liquids in the Erlenmeyer’s and beakers flow up, like gravity did not exist. He turned towards it and looked at it with fascination.

He suddenly heard the glass shatter behind him and before he could even progress what had happened, lighting hit him. His body flew forwards and hit the shelf with chemical liquids. The glasswork broke when it hit the ground and all Naruto could feel was his body going numb and the darkness covering his sight in less than milli-seconds.

I’ve been inspired (by Underlie) to write a new fic with Gaster and Papyrus as twins, with Sans as their older bro, and all that entails. We’re talking engineer!Papyrus, twin mix-ups and insecurities, familial fluff and drama, and, of course, the inevitable fallout when Gaster falls in the Core.
