ME pauses holding Knuckles close as she tilts her head looking at the curious little friend that has come to ask her questions. She smiles gently humming a little lullaby to settle the fussy baby.

“Oh I fight quite hard. I may believe in pacifism above violence but I will not hesitate to protect myself and mine.”

She gently boops the little red Echidna in her arms giggling at the second question.

Miss Em has suddenly regrets being in her mobian form as it’s taken over with the approximation of a blush. Though to the casual onlooker her face might just seem to be a little glowing green.

“I… I suppose I do? Or well I would if I had a romantic partner… I certainly protect my Guardian as much as he protects me. And the little emeralds… I want only the best for them. Chaos and I used to be… well not romantic but… we had a better bond once upon a time.”

She seems a little sad, glowing and returning to her Emerald form to avoid further embarrassment.

So while ME doesn’t see herself as the Mother of all reality she does, to an extent, see herself as Mother to all of Mobius since it’s up to her and her children to maintain balance on the planet. She mostly acts as Mother to the Gems (Ghost included) and Knuckles though. She doesn’t like to directly interfere with Mobius at large if there’s something else that can restore balance (like Sonic and Co) even though she loves the planet and its inhabitants dearly.
