Built in the place of Palazzo Meniconi, which housed the Mint and the first Civic Library, which was adjacent to the eighteenth century Pescheria in neoclassical forms with characteristic Doric colonnade, called "the temple of the lasche". Perugia is a particular city, with a very large historical center, but with its peculiarities concentrated in a relatively small space.
