If you wanna wear māori Kākahu please just do your research and ask yourself, what are you really wearing it for. As a costume, or as clothing for a ceremony, for casual wear, maybe for a haka, a dance. It's so disheartening seeing my culture sold for cheap as a costume when its such a beautiful culture that is for all to enjoy.

We act normal until we are so overstimulated and hot we beg to take off our clothes, we seem normal until we are having a tantrum in public because we weren't allowed to do something we wanted. we seem normal until we can't do simple tasks properly like opening umbrellas, buttons clothes, opening up containers, using public transportation. We seem normal until we are saying something inappropriate at the wrong time, or talking to loud, or making annoying noises.
