#ancient paths

The silver path is best. Not the high road, nor the low road. But  between, where only trees and undergrowth are seen. There you will find the ancient paths, the old thoughts and dreams, the forgotten wisdom. And some believe that the silver path should be paved and made as bright and wonderful as the other two, but I say let it retain its solitude. For it holds meaning only to those who find it it on their own, glistening softly under the light of the moon, and overgrown by root and fern. The silver path holds true. New and old at once, and leading every traveler on to wonders untold.

Stand at the crossroads and look. Ask for the ancient paths, and where the best road is. Walk on it, and you will live in peace. . . . My people have forgotten me. . . . They have stumbled in the way they should go, they no longer follow the old ways. . . . Set up signs and mark the road; find again the way by which you left. Come back.
