“I’ve visited a few times before, but I’ve never had the opportunity to properly explore,” she was saying as they arrived at the Azuria Ruins. 

Calvin, her employee, co-worker and old friend, had agreed to accompany her to visit the ruins. They were both adventurers at heart and spent a lot of time in each other’s company due to work. It was through this that they’d become good friends. But as fate would have it, they had actually met before, a long time ago. 

They’d both been interested in an ancient digsite that had been discovered in a town far north and had struck up a convenient friendship. She’d remembered that he mentioned he was from a place called Arcadia, but she would have never imagined that she would meet him again here. He didn’t seem like the type, like her, to stay in one place for too long.

The Piri Reis Map is a famous pre-modern world map created by 16th century Ottoman-Turkish admiral and cartographer Piri Reis. The map shows part of the western coasts of Europe and North Africa with reasonable accuracy, and the coast of Brazil is also easily recognizable. Various Atlantic islands including the Azores and Canary Islands are depicted, as is the mythical island of Antillia. The map is noteworthy for its depiction of a southern landmass that some controversially claim is evidence for early awareness of the existence of Antarctica.
