Elena had awkwardly cleared her throat twice already, trying to remind her that there was an entire WEDDING to fix --- but she couldn’t bring herself to let Bonnie go. The last time she’d seen her, she’d been without her humanity. Had probably said awful things to her face when had literally come back from the dead, from solitude and dealing with Damon and Kai and --- she was a terrible friend. It was only when her arms ached that she let the witch go, giving her a slightly teary eyed smile as she looked at her. “I’m really glad you’re back.”
