Either It or The Land Before Time. I have terrible memory for dates, but I was definitely very very young when I saw those movies.

What could I (theoretically) bring you right now that would make you smile?

Anything! But I'm especially partial to sweets.

Be completely honest: if you got a text message from me right this second saying “Pack your bags and get to the airport. There’s a one-way ticket waiting for you to ____. I have a job for you. Possibly illegal.” Would you drop everything and get your ass there? Honestly.

Amazingly, no. Ask me 3 years ago and yes, without hesitation. But I really like my job & where I'm living, and a whole bunch of things right now.

“Chris Evans is so hot,” Dylan says. This declaration is followed by an explosion. But not of feelings, just one on the TV. 

Before leaving the car, anat grips Marina's hand. "You don't have to anything to be nervous about," Marina says, smiling conspiratorially. "Trust me."

It's hardly the first time anat meets a new group of fangirls, but usually they at least speak a language she understands. She voices that worry, and Marina laughs.

"Oh man, no, everyone's gonna be talking English anyway. Fannish circles." She shrugs.

"I suppose," anat says with a small smile of her own. She grips the bag of cake she brought - an old, familiar recipe, easy to make even in Marina's tiny kitchen.

The apartment where the meetup is held is easy to find. anat can hear the squealing all the way downstairs, and she can't help but smile. It carries her through the first discomfort - everyone is so young, that girl on the couch doesn't even seem legal - until she's ambushed by a fangirl with a pounce that wouldn't shame a Labrador, enthusiastically greeting her.

After that, it's easy. The flow of conversations around them moves from English to Hebrew, lightning speed, but there are so many conversations in the room that keeping to the ones she can understand is no hardship.

One such conversation slides into a heated debate on the merits of meter in poetry. Pleasantly exhausted from a lively discussion about translation to Hebrew vs. English and the terrible lack of Russian-speaking translators, anat leans back.

Marina is just there, soft and warm, her arm sliding around anat's waist. She nuzzles anat, doesn't bother to disguise it from anyone, and nobody seems to be paying attention anyway. "Aren't you glad you came now?"

1. If you could switch places with anyone (living/dead, past/present etc.) for a week, who would it be & why?

This might be weird but I might like trading places with my cat. Getting to sleep/goof off all the time and sit in people's laps for hours on end.

2. What was “your jam” in high school? That one song that you wouldn’t stop listening to or that fit your perfectly.

3. It’s a dance off, how do you win? 

I can't dance at all so I'd probably have to go all Mortal Clay on people - claim that the best dancer is the one ~closest to the Earth, then after they were done limbo-ing I'd lie on my back and flail <.<

4. If you could travel to one place in the world, where would you go?

Toronto, I think. I've been there once and loved it there - the diversity and street signs in different languages and accessible public transportation and all that.

5. What was the last lie you told? 

Probably calling in sick for work /o\

6. What is your bad habit? 

Laziness and procrastination.

I don't watch that many shows... probably Firefly.
