We started the module with the analysis of type. 

Understanding type and knowing how to differentiate the different parts of it I have learnt is essential as designers because we work with type all the time. 

Based on this we were given two activities: the first one where we had to replicate in a bigger format a wooden letter and the second one where we had to try out different typefaces to write our surname, and recreate the one we liked best by drawing it accurately on our sketchbook and annotating it with typographic anatomy. 

I found the exercise informative, and it helped me to look at type differently, now when I see typefaces, I recognise some of the elements that structure them and I consider ways in which they can be modified and made to look in a way that is more suitable for my projects. 

I have also got to the understanding that the more I acquaint myself with the terminology of things the more my knowledge in graphic design increases and the more I will find my way in the professional industry.
