She watches over jack while he’s sleeping and is there when he has nightmares to shake him up and sit in comfortable silence through the night with him.

They’re comfortable with each other because they’re old friends who went through the same shit together.

They shake each other out of flashbacks and are there during panic attacks, soothing one another in ways they know would work on them.

Ana sends messages to Pharah, small things, like a flower from wherever she is, a feather from North America, you know, since Pharah’s dad is supposedly Native American, maybe a biotic grenade on her porch lmao. Maybe she visits sometimes, in secret, to make sure she’s ok.

She also kills any talon agent who even considers hurting Pharah.

Like if talon even thought of threatening her kid, Ana would go fucking postal.

You thought she was wanted for assault before, OH BOY.

But I also headcanon that Gabriel still has a soft spot for Ana.

Like he had the opportunity to kill her but didn’t.

Additionally he said “they left you to die and me to suffer…remember that.”

So my headcanon is that he resents overwatch and she represents overwatch…but she’s not one of the corrupt agents.

She was a good person with the right ideals who just wanted to help him.

He doesn’t have the same resentment for her that he developed for jack.

I’d like to believe also that he has an aversion to hurting Pharah because he knew her as a kid.

I want to believe that as bad as reaper is now, he still has something in his heart left for compassion and it’s tied to Ana, Pharah, and maybe jack, in a grudging way.

Also I really want to believe Ana and jack had this “will they or won’t they” vibe…?

Like I want to believe that they toyed with a relationship and sort of flirted here and there, but it never came into being cuz they’re both too professional.

But now that they’re old and have their share of heartbreaks and woes, they maybe wonder about what could’ve been.
