I both love and hate Zootopia

It’s a legitimate social commentary with great humor and charm

What I hate about it is its appeal to authority tone in the whole plot

First Judy thinks that she can make the world a better place by being the one authority figure that does the exact opposite in reality

She uses bullshit blackmailing on Nick by threatening to arrest him for tax evasion (because obviously not paying taxes is a worse felony than murder irl) (Oh and it’s an abuse of her power as a police officer too btw)

And then EVEN THOUGH the antagonist of the movie literally used animal racism to obtain and keep her position in political power (which people also do in reality) they were like “this government person is bad but good thing these other government people caught her now government is good again”

If it actual did more with the fact that it’s the state that keeps groups of people socially and economically divided, then it would’ve been a 10/10 for me

if you are the legal voting age then you don’t need somebody to hold your hand for everything that you do
