Star Wars is Dumb
Listen, I love Star Wars, but it's real fuckin' dumb if you think about it.
The Jedi are basically like "We're the no boners club, you're not allowed to have a boner or friends, unless they're one of us, but you're still not allowed to care about them even if they're us, no attachments lol. We have a prophecy where some kid is gonna join our club and grow up to be super tight and beat up the Sith (Jerks). Hopefully we find the kid really young and he resists every single biological imperative of puberty or being an adult in general to be in our club as we continue not to tell him why it's so important he doesn't try to fuck so he can still be in our club"!
Anakin: Goes through adolensence, becomes a pretty well adjusted adult all things considered and wants to be able to feel feelings both platonic and romantic for others like any normal person and bails on the Jedi saying, "fuck this stupid club that only shits on me, baits me with fake ass promotions and expects me to give a frog's fat ass about their big dumb no fuck rule."
