The music cuts through the air, recognizable even from a distance, reverberating in the chests of anyone who draws near.
String lights litter the sky above like low lying constellations, woven in a pattern above, twisting around themselves and the tree branches and every area she could loop them around. A mess to sort out later, irreversibly intertwined.
A mysterious magenta liquid sits in a still pool in a large clear bowl set on a table, surrounded by bottles and cups on either side. A little of everything, a poison picked for anyone who would take the time to look.
Snacks on either side, plated nicely, finger foods. Pastries that - if someone would look closely, they may realize they were homemade. Chips. Candy. Finger foods. A plethora of flavor profiles for those who would linger late enough to need to graze.
She is distracted, preparing a fire - a pretty hefty sized bonfire, carrying log by log ready to be added to it once it would be lit. Any excuse for the ‘ol fireball jutsu.
And off to the side, a metal bucket, several armfuls of fireworks dumped within - everything from sparklers to the shitty ones you could aim at each other if you wanted to be stupid, to the larger ones that would take your hand off if you were too close when they went off.
