It's Friday and I'm releasing new art prints in an ode to Buffalo, NY, of sorts. Why, perhaps it’s because I grew up there!
1. Community Beer Works -- My favorite craft brewery in Buffalo! Can't wait for our next visit later this summer. 2. Amy's Place -- I've been going there since college for their vegetarian food. Veggie wet shoes*, yes please! 3. Nick Charlap's Ice Cream -- No trip to the beach on Lake Erie is complete without a trip here. Is it possible to finish the ice cream cone before it melts? Unlikely.
These are all watercolor paintings with lines done in paint marker, all on 9"x12" Fabriano paper, 2021. Prints up on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/NickGolebiewski
*veggie wet shoes are curly-q fries smothered in lentils, optional cheese, and hot sauce!
7.1.21 Lunchtime drawing: Amy’s Place in Buffalo has just re-opened after a long pandemic closure, when it was actually up for sale for a bit, and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been getting vegetarian food here since my college days circa 1998 and it’s a must stop on every visit to Buffalo. I said hi to the owner Greg Kempf who is equally as excited to be open again. Something new is that all their food is vegetarian or vegan with meat completely eliminated from the menu. My favorite item from the menu: Veggie Wet Shoes (curly-q fries piled up with lentils, tomatoes, peppers and hot sauce.)
