I’ve mentioned before on here that I met the man who created Ace’s smoking and light up guitars. His name is John Elder Robison, and he wrote several books on being late diagnosed autistic. So something I very much relate too!
In his first book, an autobiography called Look Me In The Eye, he talked about working for Kiss, particularly Ace, and yet to be diagnosed, as being the first time in his life that he felt accepted as who he is and appreciated for the skills he had. It was so nice to read, coz we know Kiss are weirdos, and so many fans are weirdos, and we have all experienced a connection, and a place of comfort among each other.
I checked his Facebook today to see what he may have posted about Ace. I was pleasantly surprised to find this News video, full of stories and photos of his time with Ace and after, as he had stayed friends with him (which I didn’t know, but boy, does that warm my heart).
Anyway, here he is!
