1. if someone wanted to really understand you, what would they read, watch, and listen to?I'm not sure any media would do this, and it changes! But one (maybe cheating?) answer is... my plays. Especially the Hello Earth stuff--between the aesthetic choices and my interpretation of Kirk or Luke, I would assume that says a lot.

Oh, maybe the "Connections" series by James Burke, because it introduces an interdisciplinary view of history/technology I really value and I like how he communicates.

I think if I made you watch my favorite movies, I'd also have to give you a lecture on WHY they're my favorite if you wanted that to be a good indicator of character. But I guess if you get why Lawrence of Arabia and Phantom of the Paradise both linger up there, it'd help.

12. dog person or cat person?Both? I mean, I've had both for most of my adult life. But if I had to choose, the choice is clear--I love dogs. I love cats, too, but I guess my relationship with dogs is stronger.

15. five most influential books over your lifetime.These are always hard! But I picked a selection that influenced my later reading and creating, or which I read a LOT or stuck with me. (I'll probably think OH GOD NO THESE ARE WRONG the minute I hit post.)
